Disability support services

We give people with disability and their carers the tools to manage medicines with confidence

Support for people with disability

We help people with disability better understand their medicines and how to use them safely

We can help you learn how to:

  • make better choices about your medicines

  • build the skills and confidence to use medicines on your own.

We do this by helping you understand:

  • what you need to know about your medicines

  • how to take them safely and easily

  • how to think about the risks and benefits

  • where to find good, trustworthy information.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Yes, you can. You might be able to use the ‘core’ or ‘capacity building’ budget to pay for our supports. We are happy to work with you so that what we do fits your plan.

NDIS support items that can be used to cover the cost of our services:

We are happy to discuss other support items if these do not work with your plan.

No. However, all our pharmacists are Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHRPA) registered and must follow the professional standards set by AHPRA. We have policies and procedures in place so that we provide a high quality and safe service.

Are you an NDIS-registered provider?

Do you work with children?

Yes, we do. The way we support each child depends on how much they look after their medicines. All our pharmacists have a Working with Children Check and a Queensland ‘Blue Card’. We also work closely with parents and carers of children.

Do you just provide face-to-face supports ?

No. If appropriate, our supports can be delivered as non-face-to-face supports. We do this by using video.

Many people have difficulties using medicines safely and effectively, and disability can add extra challenges. Our purpose is to empower people with the skills and confidence to use medicines safely and effectively. This means that we can make a big difference by working with people with disability, their carers and parents.
