Services
We create practical, plain-language education to help you or your community build confidence in using medicines safely and effectively.
What we do is shaped by lived experience and local insight - supporting better decisions, stronger skills, and healthier outcomes.
We measure what matters: changes in knowledge, confidence, and everyday habits.
We support better medicines use across a wide range of topics - from general management to specific areas like mental health, pain, diabetes, heart disease, lung conditions and neurodivergence.
Our education reaches people of all ages - children, adolescents, and adults - and reflects the diversity of your community, including First Nations peoples, people with disability, and those living in rural and remote areas.
We measure impact where it matters: changes in knowledge, confidence, and everyday habits.
MedicinesEd supports communities, people and carers with practical, easy-to-understand information about medicines, including:
What you need to know to use medicines safely and confidently
How to weigh up the benefits and risks of different medicines
Where to find reliable, trustworthy information
How to ask questions and talk about medicines with health professionals
How to manage side effects and know when to speak up
How to monitor whether a medicine is working - and what to do if it’s not.
Face-to-face & online workshops
Our face-to-face workshops bring your community together to share stories, ask questions, and learn from each other - strengthening community connection.
Each session is tailored to your community’s needs, whether it’s a relaxed conversation or a more structured presentation.
We also offer interactive online workshops with the same practical, people-focused approach.
Yarning circles
These are designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Each yarning circle is unique, driven by your community’s needs. This informal approach allows people to learn from one another and share their stories. We use culturally appropriate resources.
Disability support services
We support you to better understand and manage your medicines - building skills, confidence, and safety.
We also train parents and carers to use medicines effectively as part of everyday care.
Our practical tools and education help you and your support network make informed decisions and speak up when it matters.
Your NDIS funding can cover our supports through your ‘core’ or ‘capacity building’ budgets.
Education & training
We equip healthcare professionals and support workers to improve consumers’ safety, confidence, and decision-making around medicines.
Our programs build capability across your team. This could include helping them support people to:
manage medicines safely and effectively
ask questions
know where to find trustworthy information.
We can also upskill support workers to:
safely administer medicines
monitor the benefits and side effects of medicines
know when to speak up
Each training is tailored to your organisation’s needs, giving your team the tools to support safer, more confident care.
Podcasts
MedicinesEd offers a series of easy-to-understand podcasts, hosted by our team, providing convenient and on-demand short bites of information for your audience. We work with you to develop either a series of podcasts or a stand-alone episode that highlights the messages you would like your audience to hear.
